What did you use to prevent stretch-marks whilst you were pregnant?

I bought a few stretch-mark oils (and they collected in the bathroom drawer.....but in the end I ended up making my own.  I never got a SM on my belly.......just on my boobs! I didn't think the first time around that that would happen!  I used coconut oil and added approx 5ml of liquid zinc to help prevent, soothe and support the skin. Zinc is one of the most vital minerals to preserve skin integrity.  I never really measured the coconut oil, but I roughly used approx 2 tablespoons.  Kept the remainder in the fridge as it was summer. Seemed to work!  

My zinc levels where quite low, but as this is absorbed through the skin, maybe best to triple check with you naturopath on your levels.  Ideally if you can ensure your zinc levels are right prior to getting pregnant, you have an even better chance of preventing stretch-marks without having to apply anything topically to the skin!
